Abstract: The objective of this study is to analyze the contributions of leadership in school management  to the improvement of education quality. The research emerged from concerns and questions  regarding the relationship between management and leadership and their impact on the school  institution. Among the various questions raised, the central one is: how does the leadership  process of school managers contribute to the organization and functioning of a school in a way  that enhances the quality of education? This is a qualitative study characterized as field  research, specifically an ethnographic case study. Data collection involved tools such as  participant observation and semi-structured interviews. The research subjects were two female  school principals from different public schools in the municipal education network of the state  of Piauí, Brazil. The results indicate that management focused on leadership practices helps  create a more effective school environment through the participation and collaboration of all  members. The study concludes that leadership that welcomes and inspires its team fosters a  &#xD;
supportive environment that significantly contributes to the development of the entire school  setting and, consequently, to the quality of education.

Abstract: The aim of this article is to analyze, based on teachers' narratives, teaching practices in the&#xD;
literacy and literacy process for children in the first year of elementary school, describing the&#xD;
role of play and valuing the singularities of childhood in learning. To this end, we questioned&#xD;
the place of play in the literacy and literacy processes and how it acts, signifying respect and&#xD;
appreciation for the singularities and cultural context of childhood. This study was based on&#xD;
qualitative research, with an emphasis on case studies, and is also exploratory in nature. The&#xD;
results of the research showed that play is extremely important for enabling the literacy process,&#xD;
as they believe that play favors the construction of knowledge. For the teachers, playfulness is&#xD;
a fundamental resource for education, as it provides an adjustment to the world of children. As&#xD;
for the difficulties faced in working with students, the teachers most emphatically mentioned the more direct participation of the family, as they believe that when parents and guardians&#xD;
participate in the educational process, it takes place more effectively.

Abstract: This article is intended to analyze how the public school in Parnaíba (PI) has developed its work  with children's and youth literature focused on ethnic-racial relations education, identifying  authors and works used, challenges in the process, and pedagogical practices carried out, in  light of Law No. 11,645/2008. Based on authors such as Gomes (2017), Freire (1996), and  Munanga (1999), the study addressed the importance of children's and youth literature as an  anti-racist and formative tool, considering its role in the construction of identities and the  deconstruction of stereotypes. The research was ethnographic in nature and qualitative in  approach, conducted in two public schools in the municipality of Parnaíba (PI).  Methodologically, it worked with interviews with teachers, analysis of Political-Pedagogical  Projects (PPP), and the available literary collection. The results revealed that, although there  are initiatives, the application of legislation still occurs mainly on specific commemorative  dates, with difficulties related to the scarcity of literary works referenced in ERER (education  for ethnic-racial relations), lack of teacher training, and institutional resistance to addressing  the issue on an ongoing basis. Cases of prejudice are still reported in the school environment,  with literature being used as a pedagogical resource to mediate conflicts and promote reflection. Finally, the study proposes methodological guidelines for improving educational activities  involving children's and young adult literature, with a view to strengthening the fight against  racism and promoting recognition of cultural diversity in schools.
