Marcadores das africanidades nas concepções de nascimento, vida e morte de pessoas negras no interior do Piauí

and death of black people in the interior of Piauí. Such markers can be identified in the lives, experiences and daily lives of black people on the outskirts of Corrente-PI, where I was born. To report these stories, which are at the same time private and social, I followed the path of Conceição Evaristo's Writing, which allowed me to portray collective experiences, to the extent that it is understood that there is a common constituent between author and protagonist, whether due to shared characteristics through social markers, or through lived experience, even from different positions. When meeting with black people in a vulnerable neighborhood in my hometown, I realized that many African markers in the conceptions of birth, life and death were being lost and some that still remained were not recognized by that community as a marker of their African roots. This moved me to point out these markers in the community, but it also moved me to look for these conceptions among black people from African territories in the city, in order to learn more about the remains of Africa in Correntina. Thus, in the dingo-dingo, coming and going, of the meetings, it was possible to recognize how Afro-Brazilian and African-based religions keep African conceptions of life alive and are capable of giving us back what is stolen from us by the West: markers of our Africanity that can bring us mental health. Therefore, it was possible to perceive the Western conception of death, identify markers of Africanities that resist in the context experienced and regain life and hope through the search for the roots of black people in the interior of Piauí.
