Efeitos adversos na utilização da terapia biológica durante tratamento de psoríase: revisão integrativa

Abstract

Psoriasis is a systemic, autoimmune, chronic and inflammatory disease, with different clinical presentations and is intrinsically related to a great psychological and physical impact on the patient. In the panorama of medications used to treat moderate to severe and refractory conditions, there is the class of immunobiologicals. As therapy with this medication is recent, there are still gaps in the medical literature to be filled regarding the adverse effects of its use. The objective of this study is to identify the adverse effects of using biological therapy in the treatment of psoriasis. An integrative review of the literature was carried out, in which, after agreeing with the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 08 of the 28 articles obtained were selected. Results identified the main adverse reactions involved in the immunobiological treatment of psoriasis, including increased risk of infections, local reactions, and paradoxical effects. It was concluded that these medications should be used with caution due to the varied adverse effects identified.
