The pet friendly movement represents an innovative approach, offering accommodation and services aimed at pets, transforming the hotel experience for owners and their companions. This work aims to understand the adoption of this concept in a hotel in the city of Luís Correia (PI). For the purpose of operationalizing the research, we have the following specific objectives: a) Identify the main motivations of guests for choosing pet friendly accommodation; b) Analyze the strategies and practices adopted by hotels in implementing this new concept; and, c) Evaluate the perception of the quality of pet friendly services offered by hotels. A descriptive research was used, involving interviews with a questionnaire containing open questions about the experience in the accommodation. The focus covered motivations for choosing and the possible direct influence at the time of booking. The field of research and data collection focused on the accommodation environment, using people staying there as research participants. The conclusion of the work highlights the relevance of the pet friendly concept in the hotel industry, not only for guest satisfaction and loyalty, but also to promote more inclusive experiences and harmonious coexistence between humans and animals. Given the importance of analyzing the various aspects involving this concept, the contribution was made both to the theoretical discussion and to practical application, highlighting the social relevance of meeting the needs of guests who travel with their pets.
