| Resumo: | Escolhemos a Vila Bairro Coqueiro da Praia para estudos e intervenções para este Projeto de Pesquisa, em andamento desde 2019. O bairro faz parte de Luís Correia, um dos 10 municípios que integram a Área de Proteção Ambiental Delta do Parnaíba, criada por Decreto do Governo Federal do Brasil em 1996. O referido Município está localizado no Meio Norte do Brasil, entre os Estados do Piauí, Maranhão e Ceará. Segundo o Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (2017), tem uma população de 55,4% com renda per capita de até 1⁄2 salário-mínimo mensal, que vive com problemas socioambientais. Luís Correia está localizada a aproximadamente 360 km de Teresina, capital do Estado do Piauí. O trabalho de campo, materializado em rodas de conversas e observação do território, nos permitiu conhecer o rico e complexo patrimônio cultural do lugar, carente de ações educativas e culturais, que provoquem mobilização para a salvaguarda do patrimônio cultural do qual a comunidade é detentora. Os estudos e intervenções realizados por docentes e discentes do mestrado profissional em artes, patrimônio e museologia no território desde 2015 têm contribuído para mudar a situação de vulnerabilidade. No Bairro e entorno não havia arte mural. Construímos três murais que representam o ofício e modos de saber-fazer das artes de pesca artesanal, herdados de povos originários da região. Nessa perspectiva, partimos do pressuposto de que a construção de um projeto de arte urbana (pintura mural), poderia ser uma estratégia para ações interativas, centradas no viver cotidiano do bairro, potencializando o bem-estar e a autoestima de viver o/no lugar. ARTE MURAL NA VILA-BAIRRO COQUEIRO DA PRAIA – é um trabalho que envolve pesquisa-ação, história oral, oficinas, produção artística e exposição presencial e virtual de artes visuais, com parcerias entre mestrado, museu da vila e comunidade. |
| Abstract: | We chose Vila Bairro Coqueiro da Praia for study and interventions for this Research Project, in progress since 2019. The neighborhood is part of Luís Correia, one of the 10 municipalities that are part of the Delta do Parnaíba Environmental Protection Area, created by Decree of the Federal Government of Brazil in 1996. The municipality is located in the Middle North of Brazil, between the states of Piauí, Maranhão and Ceará. According to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (2017), it has a population of 55.4% with per capita income of up to 1/2 monthly minimum wage, living with socio-environmental problems. Luís Correia is located approximately 360 km from Teresina, capital of the State of Piauí. The fieldwork, materialized in wheels of conversations and observation of the territory, allowed us to know the rich and complex cultural heritage of the place, lacking educational and cultural actions, which provoke mobilization to safeguard the cultural heritage of which the community holds. Studies and interventions carried out by professors and students of the professional master's degree in arts, heritage and museology in the territory since 2015 have contributed to change the situation of vulnerability. In the neighborhood and surroundings there was no mural art. We have built three murals that represent the craft and ways of knowing-how of artisanal fishing gear, inherited from peoples originating in the region. In this perspective, we start from the assumption that the construction of an urban art project (mural painting) could be a strategy for interactive actions, centered on the daily life of the neighborhood, enhancing the well-being and self-esteem of living in the place. MURAL ART IN VILA-BAIRRO COQUEIRO DA PRAIA – is a work that involves action research, oral history, workshops, artistic production and face-to-face and virtual exhibition of visual arts, with partnerships between master's degree, museum of the village and community. |
