As dificuldades que o pedagogo enfrenta na sua prática na educação infantil

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the difficulties that pedagogues face in their teaching practice in Early Childhood Education. Given that in most schools there are no male teachers, in general this work aims to understand the main difficulties/challenges faced by pedagogues who work in Early Childhood Education. Specifically, it intends to: reflect on the presence of the pedagogue in this period of teaching; identify the importance of diversity in the educational environment; analyze how pedagogues see themselves as professionals in Early Childhood Education. The qualitative research was conducted using semi-structured interviews with students from the last period of the Pedagogy course, in 2020. The results showed the lack of representativeness of male teachers regarding their perceptions about their work and access to the school environment, in Early Childhood Education. During the curricular internships of the interviewees, it was noted that currently in the age group served in Early Childhood Education predominates a female representation, because the woman is still idealized as delicate, capable of caring for and better educating children.
